ANNOUNCEMENTS – November 11, 2009

Ladies Prayer Breakfast is this Saturday, November 14th at 8:30 am in the fellowship hall.

HELPING HANDS PANTRY
• This summer/fall, $471 was donated from Pepper Profit at Chili’s on 173 to the Helping Hands Pantry from the times North Park members and friends ate there on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday and presented a coupon.
• We have another opportunity for Pepper Profits from the Chili’s on East State. There are 3 coupons: November (gold), December (red) and January (blue). The coupons are only good for the East State location but can be used any day of the week. If you would like extra coupons to make available at your workplace, see Darla.
• Team #2—will work at the Pantry on Thursday, November 19th to restock and Saturday, November 21st from 1-4 pm. Those on Team #2 are: Mike/Ian Cousin; Lorene Crabb; Julie Dean; Tim/Cathy Firm; Gloria Gregory; Bret Hagerman; Jim Lee; Julie/Ben Murray; Pat Seifert; Henry/Mary Spohnholz; Rich/Tammy Weidman; Dulane Willis; Chris/Sandy Youssi Computer Operators: Michelle Walker, Christa McSmith and Deanna King IF YOU CANNOT WORK, PLEASE FIND A SUBSTITUTE AND LET SANDY YOUSSI KNOW OF THE CHANGE.
• Food will be delivered at the Pantry on Friday, November 13th at 1:30 pm. If you can help put frozen foods away meet there.

CHICAGO CELEBRATION is this Saturday and Sunday, November 14th and 15th. A complete listing of events and times is posted on the bulletin board.

South Beloit is in need of speakers for the Sunday AM assemblies. If you are interested in helping, see Sean Weinberg.

Stamp ‘n Chat is Monday, November 16th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the building.

Blanket workday on Thur. Nov. 19th @ 9AM @ church bldg. Need your help to get more made before winter. Thank You, Judi Rogers

LIFE GROUPS MEET ON NOVEMBER 22nd:
Due to the Village Parade down Elm Avenue, the Long’s Group will meet at the building at 4 pm; will watch the Parade at 4:45 pm followed by a “sandwich meal.”

The Rockford church is collecting new or used (in good repair) blankets to distribute to the homeless in their area. If you have blankets you would like to donate to this work, bring them to the building and someone from the church will pick them up.

TEEN ACTIVITIES:
• A sign-up sheet is posted for the NEW YEAR’S EVE LOCK-IN at West Chicago. The cost is $33 and due by November 29th
• A sign-up sheet is also posted for WINTERFEST which is February 19-21 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The cost is $75 and due by November 29th for early registration to save $10 per person. There is an option of ‘no t-shirt’ and ‘no concert.’
• CHAPERONES ARE NEEDED FOR WINTERFEST!!! See the sign-up sheet.


NORTH PARK’S GIVING TREE
Giving Tree Recipients this year will come from North Park member recommendations. If you know of a family with special needs this holiday season who have children you would like to be considered as recipients of the Giving Tree, please give the information to Darla, Penny, Tim or Cathy Firm.
